Dug Bar, is on the Oregon side of the Snake River. Accessable of course, by air and from the river, it is accessable to motor vehicles from the Oregon side by a "high clearance" road running about 20 miles from the end of Lower Imnaha road, which is itself an extension of Little Sheep Creek Highway, a spur off of Oregon Highway 39. From Highway 39, Dug Bar would be a drive of at least 75 miles.
