Part 1 to Oshkosh
  A flight of eight departs from the western Sierra Foothills on a trip to Oshkosh. The clip begins on climbout with the sun full in the face and ends as we approach Lake Tahoe.
 
 
Part 2 to Oshkosh
  The Nevada state line to our first fuel stop at Elko. The trip takes us over the desert and mountains of Northern Nevada. Irrigated farmland and mining provide variety.
 
 
Part 3 to Oshkosh
  Departing Elko, Nevada we fly over the desert and mountains of Northeastern Nevada on our way to Afton, Wyoming for our first layover stop.
 
 
Part 4 to Oshkosh
  We depart Afton, Wyoming, heading in a northeasterly direction to our next fuel stop at Worland Wyoming. High valley farmland, mountains and river valleys provide the scenery as we fly.
 
 
Part 5 to Oshkosh
  We are following the Snake River to Jackson, Wyoming. To save some time we climb to be able to take a more direct route, coming on Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the National Elk Refuge.
 
   

Part 6 to Oshkosh

  Heading more eastward now, we find ourselves in mountainous terrain. The mountain ranges run north and south for the most part with broad cloud covered valleys. During the latter part of segment, we fly over the Contenintal divide.  
   
Part 7 to Oshkosh
  From the Peaks of the Rockies we begin our descent over the eastern Foothills. A herd of elk adds variety to the magnificent view.
 
   
Part 8 to Oshkosh
  The last of the Rocky Mountain's rugged foothills, then a stop for fuel at Worland, Wyoming
 
   
Part 9 to Oshkosh
  From Worland we head east flying over rugged hills and eventully the rolling grasslands of northern Wyoming.
 
   
Part 10 to Oshkosh
  Across the southern of the Bighorn Mountains to Devil's Tower.
 
   
Part 11 to Oshkosh
  From Devil's Tower to Newcastle for fuel.
 
   
Part 12 to Oshkosh
  Newcastle to Wall, South Dakota. We leave the last vestages of the Rocky Mountains and its Continental Divide and begin to see the flat lands of middle America.

Rye Patch
  Too good to miss. The flight over the Humboldt River just down stream of the Rye Patch Dam.
 
   
San Francisco Waterfront
  An August flight to San Francisce found an unusually clear day providing an excellent opportunity for sightseeing as we flew past the Bay Bridge, the Financial District, Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge.

  After departing Coeur D'Alene, Idaho we cross the Coeur D'Alenei Mountains enroute to Kalispell, Montana which lies just Nort of Flathead Lake.
 
   
Hell's Canyon II Dug Bar
  Probably the longest of the landing strips along the Snake River within Hell's Canyon. It provides an opportunity to visit Oregon and stretch our legs.
 
   
Hell's Canyon
  Marking the borders between the states of Idaho and Oregon, the Snake River runs through Hell's Canyon with some of the greatest water surface to canyon rim heights in the US.  
   
An Arizona Country Road
  Just South of Lake Mead, Arizona turns flat and desolate - a perfect place for some low level practice.  
   
Flying the upper Salmon
  The Salmon Valley is the headwaters of the Salmon River. Its meandering course provides a scenic feast. The aptly Named Saw Tooth Mountains are seen in the distance.  
   
Approach to Cavanaugh Bay
  When in the area, Cavanaugh Bay is a must stop destination whether for a quick meal or a several day sojourne. Perfect facilities whether camping under your wing or staying in the nearby cabins. Perfect scenery, great people, and food to match.  
   
Flying the Upper Owyhee
  The Owyhee River runs from near Tuscarora, North of Elko, Nevada. in a Northwesterly direction through Nevada, then North until it flows into the Snake River just South of Hells Canyon on the Idaho, Oregon border.  
   
Flying the Kootenai River
  The Kootenai river runs from Montana into Northern Idaho then into Canada near Porthill. This segment is just south of Porthill.
